On Monday, 3 November, we hosted the Australia-South Korea Strategic Insights with Ambassador H.E. Jeff Robinson at the Perth office of AKBC member, PwC Australia. This sold-out forum welcomed 60 attendees who heard insights directly from the Australian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, H.E. Jeff Robinson.

We were honoured to have in attendance Hon David Michael MLA, Minister for Mines and Petroleum; Hon Dan Caddy MLC, Parliamentary Secretary to the Attorney General, Minister for Commerce; and Fay Duda, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Korea at this briefing.

Some of the key takeaways from the Ambassador were:
✅ Korea’s industrialisation and rise in living standards illustrate the long-term benefits of sustained partnerships.
✅ Australia and Korea’s economic relationship is stable and complementary, built on shared interests rather than short-term objectives.
✅ There is scope to broaden cooperation in technology, renewable energy, and infrastructure investment.
✅ Continued visibility and commitment from both sides are needed to strengthen future collaboration.

A special thank you to Paul Kelly, Head of WA Memberships and Business Development at AKBC for being the MC, Martina Crowley, Perth Managing Partner, PwC Australia for facilitating the discussion and Clare Pope, Partner, Gilbert + Tobin; Member of the AKBC Board Directors for the closing remarks. We extend our thanks to all the AKBC Members and the Members of the AKBC Industry Experts Panel for contributing to a successful event.
