On 5 November, AKBC hosted the Australia–South Korea Strategic Insights roundtable with Ambassador H.E. Jeff Robinson in Melbourne, supported by AKBC member Harmony Agriculture & Food Company.
This private session brought together 15 senior representatives from across government, industry, and academia- including DFAT, Hanwha Defence Australia, Monash University, Thiess, Dragoman, ANZ, Samsung C&T and Global Victoria- to continue the important dialogue on shaping and strengthening the Australia-Korea relationship.
The discussion explored the evolving dynamics of the bilateral partnership, highlighting the need to raise awareness of the opportunities and synergies that exist between Australia and Korea. Participants also noted Korea’s continued efforts to diversify its global partnerships, and identified emerging areas for cooperation in AI, data centres, tourism, and Korea’s growing “soft power” industries. There is no better time to deepen and broaden the Australia–Korea relationship as both nations look to expand collaboration across new and emerging sectors.
A special thank you to Ambassador H.E. Jeff Robinson for sharing his insights for facilitating the discussion, and Anthony Fellows, CEO of Harmony Agriculture & Food Company, for hosting the event. AKBC extends its gratitude to all attendees for contributing to an engaging and thoughtful exchange.
