On Thursday, 20 November, the Australia–Korea Business Council (AKBC) hosted the Australia–South Korea Strategic Insights with Ambassador H.E. Jeff Robinson at the new Sydney office of AKBC Member A&O Shearman. This private roundtable brought together AKBC Members from our highest membership levels in New South Wales in an intimate setting to continue the important dialogue on shaping and strengthening the Australia–Korea relationship. The roundtable provided an opportunity for members to engage directly with the Ambassador and exchange views on strengthening bilateral collaboration and advancing shared economic priorities across the Australia–Korea corridor.
Some of the key takeaways from the discussion included:
✅ Continued momentum in Australia–Korea relations, with both countries aligned on shared economic and strategic priorities.
✅ A growing need to raise awareness of commercial and investment opportunities between Australia and Korea.
✅ Shift in economic relationship from commodity trade to diverse sectors including defence, AI, Food and Agriculture and Tourism.
