On Tuesday, 24 February, the Australia–Korea Business Council (AKBC) with the support of the AKBC Member, Gilbert + Tobin, hosted a vibrant Seollal celebration with our members and partners. The event brought together the Australia–Korea business community in Perth for an evening of cultural connection, meaningful conversations, and shared celebration.
During the event, guests also participated in a meaningful fireside chat exploring the experiences of Koreans working in Australia. The discussion highlighted the opportunities and challenges Korean professionals encounter across Australia’s corporate and cultural landscape, and the ways in which both countries can continue to strengthen people‑to‑people links.
Guests also enjoyed an energetic traditional performance, along with a tasting experience featuring Soju (소주) and Makgeoli (막걸리) that showcased Korea’s dynamic food and beverage culture. It was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen relationships across the Australia–Korea corridor as we welcomed the Lunar New Year.
