The annual Australia-Korea Business Council (AKBC) - Korea-Australia Business Council (KABC) Joint Meeting is the marquee event on the Australia-Korea trade and investment calendar and is widely considered as the must-attend event by senior executives working in the Australia-Korea relationship.
Building on the momentum and success of the 40th AKBC-KABC Joint Meeting held in Sydney last year, this year, the Joint Meeting will feature the key themes of hydrogen and health and biotechnology. Introductory remarks will be delivered by both the AKBC Chairman Hon Simon Crean and KABC Chairman and POSCO CEO Mr Jeong-Woo Choi as well as both Australian and Korean Ambassadors and respective Trade Ministers. The hydrogen session will follow and include presentations by POSCO, Hyundai and Origin Energy. The second and final session will explore health and biotechnology opportunities between Australia and Korea with presentations from Nobel Laurette Professor Peter Doherty, PharmAbcine and CSIRO.
