Australia and Korea have vastly different cafe cultures. In Korea, cafes play a central role not only in coffee but also in culture, serving as a hub for social gatherings, work, study and relaxation. While in Australia, cafes are a place to drink coffee rather than a place to spend hours at.

South Korean whiskey producers are actively exploring new import markets, particularly in Australia. In response, Australian whiskey has gained traction in South Korea, with its import value soaring from $4,000 in 2021 to $139,000 in 2023.
