Korea Shortlisted to Design Tier 2 Warships for Australia
The Royal Australian Navy's (RAN) fleet will grow from 11 surface combatants to 26 under plans announced by the Minister for Defence. Under this plan, Australia will be building new “Tier 2” combatants with the first three ships being made overseas. Korea is one of the four countries shortlisted with Spain, Germany and Japan to design and build these ships.
