EcoPro Co. establishes new office to facilitate procurement of critical minerals

EcoPro Co., a South Korean battery materials maker, created the "Global Resources Office" to facilitate the procurement of vital resources for secondary battery material production, including lithium and nickel.

Through investments in mining stakes, long-term supply contracts, and possible alliances with foreign corporations, the Global Resources Office intends to aggressively seek the acquisition of vital minerals. "Securing minerals involves great risks and a substantial cost. We formed the Global Resources Office within the holding company in response to the requirement for a specialised and long-term investment plan," an EcoPro official stated.

EcoPro intends to increase its investments in resource-rich nations, like Australia, as well as Indonesia, where it has already made prior investments, to proactively secure resources.
