[Golfing news] Korean-Australian golfer Minjee Lee won her first major championship – Evian Championship over the weekend.

The 25-year-old from Perth, long considered perhaps the best female player never to win one of the five majors, won the championship through a sudden death playoff at the first hole.

Minjee’s win comes two weeks after her brother Minwoo Lee won the Scottish Open on the European Tour.

Minjee is representing Australia in golf at the Olympics alongside Hannah Green, and Marc Leishman and Cameron Smith are competing in the men’s field.
