A closer look at Australia’s wine exports to South Korea

Here’s something for you to sip on 🍷.

In the past 12 months, South Korea has jumped to Australia’s 10th wine export market having previously ranked as 15th.

While beer and soju remain the beverage of choice, when it comes to alcohol consumption among South Korean’s the volume and value of wine has continued to grow.

According to International Wines and Spirits Record (IWSR), the wine market is expected to grow by an average of 2% in volume and 3% in value per year over the next five years with an increase of 6% more wine drinkers in 2021 than 2017 already.
