AKBC member, Palisade Investment Partners, will establish the H2OzBus Project as part of a Consortium with Transit Systems Australia, ITM Power, BOC South Pacific and Ballard Power Systems. In the project’s first phase, the Consortium will determine the infrastructure requirements for deploying up to 100 hydrogen fuel cell electric buses in 10 hubs across Australia. Palisade will then provide funding and strategic financial management to assist their partners to manufacture and test the buses.
Roger Lloyd, Managing Director & CEO of Palisade, stated that “Palisade believes green hydrogen will play an important role in the further decarbonisation of our economy…We are an active investor in renewable energy and transportation and are delighted to work with industry leading partners and the Government on the H2OzBus project.”
The Consortium hopes that the H2OzBus Project will be the beginning of a widespread hydrogen-fuelled bus transportation network in Australia.
