Australia is well-positioned to support President Moon’s vision of a hydrogen economy, according to Australian and Korean business and government leaders.
Yesterday, the 41st AKBC-KABC Joint Meeting featured the incredible opportunity for Australia-Korea hydrogen collaboration.
“Australia is well on its path to becoming a top three hydrogen-exporting country to the Asian market,” Korean Trade, Industry and Energy Minister Yun-mo Sung told the Joint Meeting delegation.
“Our bilateral business activity is being pursued with remarkable intensity.”
Mr Juik Cho, Senior Vice President of POSCO, and Mr Hoon Mo Park, Team Leader at Hyundai Motor Company, both discussed how their companies are expanding into the hydrogen space and opportunities to partner with Australia.
Australian Trade Minister Senator the Hon. Simon Birmingham also identified critical minerals and rare earths as an export growth area in the bilateral relationship.
AKBC Chairman the Hon. Simon Crean said Australian critical minerals exports have “got enormous potential” and could help diversify and secure Korea’s supply chain.
