Earlier this week, Australia’s Ambassador to Korea H.E. Mr James Choi and Korea’s First Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Jong-kun Choi discussed enhancing Australia-Korea cooperation.
Two key cooperation opportunities identified were vaccine development and hydrogen. Both countries are currently members of a consultative ‘Friends’ group to the COVAX Facility initiative, which aims to ensure equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines.
Ambassador Choi and Vice Minister Choi also expressed hope that cooperation in environmentally-friendly economic areas, such as hydrogen, would increase in the post-COVID-19 world.
