AKBC is hiring!

Due to consistent growth over the past few years, the Australia-Korea Business Council (AKBC) team is hiring for two new team members to join our fast-paced and energetic team. Following the celebration of 60 years of diplomatic relations between Australia and Korea last year, together with the Presidential Visit, the interest in the Australia-Korea bilateral relationship is at an all-time high and we are looking to grow our team to capture the emerging opportunities. With ambitious plans for 2022 and beyond, we are looking for people who shares our passion for the Australia-Korea bilateral relationship and are able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced setting. 

AKBC is looking for one project officer and one project coordinator or project manager. The successful candidates must be highly motivated, be able to work autonomously, and have  strong attention to detail. Applicants may be based in any State or Territory of Australia and will report to the Executive Director.  Successful applicant will play a key role in developing and delivering AKBC events and initiatives with the goal of advancing the Australia-Korea bilateral relationship.

Both positions will work very closely with the AKBC Executive Director, stakeholders and members to educate, profile and position our member companies for success in the Korean market. Working to promote economic opportunities within the bilateral relationship, and specifically in the areas of our six sub-committees: energy, financial services, food and beverage, innovation in health and biotechnology, education and critical minerals, the candidates should have a medium to strong understanding of the existing trade and investment profile of the Australia-Korea relationship. This job offers an excellent opportunity for those wishing to develop skills in international relations, and work with senior executives to implement our annual strategy.
