AKBC E-newsletter December & January Edition
Dear AKBC members,
We here at the AKBC hope all of our members had a safe and happy festive season. We thank you for your support in the past year and look forward to continuing to strengthen bilateral business relationships and opportunities as we return to the office in January 2023.
As COVID-19 restrictions have relaxed and international travel is once again on the rise, we are delighted to have ended 2022 with our premier event the 43rd AKBC-KABC Joint Meeting, and Australia and Korea – opportunities in the hydrogen market event in Perth, and meetings with our Critical Minerals, Financial Services and Energy sub-committees, heralding a new era in the growing Australia-Korea relationship.
In 2023, we will be running our Cultural training sessions more regularly with monthly sessions commencing in February. We also have exciting events planned for 2023, starting in early March where we will be bringing a delegation of our top members to meet with Ministers in Canberra and engage with members of the Australia-Korea Parliamentary Friendship Group in our inaugural Australia-Korea Parliamentary Forum, as supported by the Australia Korea Foundation. The AKBC will also be leading a delegation of AKBC members to Korea in 2023: in the middle of the year, with a focus on Financial Services, Critical Minerals and Energy; and again later in the year, for the 44th AKBC-KABC Joint Meeting which will be held in Korea so please stay tuned as we confirm details in early 2023.
I look forward to another exciting year ahead and please reach out to me if you have any suggestions on AKBC events and activities, or if you would like to partner or sponsor any of our events.
