AKBC Future Leaders Program Alumni Networking Event

The Australia-Korea Business Council is pleased to invite you to our inaugural Future Leaders Program Alumni Networking Event. The event will be held virtually via Zoom.

The purpose of the networking event is to bring together the 2017, 2018 and 2019 Future Leaders Program Alumni to reconnect and build new relationships.

There are 8 time slots of 3 minutes each available to our alumni to informally chat about:

  • their business and link to Korea;
  • takeaways from their participation at the AKBC-KABC Joint Meeting;
  • how their business has been impacted by COVID-19; and
  • ideas on how this generation of leaders can have an impact on the direction of the Australia-Korea bilateral relationship.
If you are interested in speaking, please contact AKBC Executive Director Liz Griffin at lgriffin@akbc.com.au.

Following this, all participants will have an opportunity to contribute and partake in a discussion. The event will be moderated by AKBC Executive Director Liz Griffin.

Please register by Wednesday 3 June.

We look forward to reconnecting with you on Friday.

About the AKBC Future Leaders Program

Commencing in 2017, the AKBC established the Future Leaders Program to support the development of the next-generation of leaders interested in the Australia-Korea relationship. The Future Leaders Program provides an exceptional opportunity for young professionals to participate in the annual AKBC-KABC Joint Meeting and associated functions, as well as specific sessions for young leaders. These events are designed to enable the ‘leaders of tomorrow’ to discuss the status of the Korea-Australia bilateral relationship, and workshop ideas and suggestions to advance the relationship. Participation in this program is an unparalleled opportunity to deepen Leaders’ knowledge of the relationship, develop their leadership capabilities, workshop fresh and innovative ideas to further collaboration and expand their networks.

The objectives of the Future Leaders Program are to help participants:

  • obtain a deeper level of understanding of the opportunities and challenges in the Australia-Korea bilateral relationship;
  • learn from industry experts on current market trends;
  • gain access to a network of similar aged and like-minded delegates whom are actively working in a business directly related to strengthening the Australia-Korea relationship;
  • network with senior business executives attending the Joint Meeting and associated events; and
  • develop skills and networks that position them to take leadership of their organisation’s Korea strategy
