42nd AKBC-KABC Joint Meeting

AKBC’s flagship event each year is the Joint Meeting between the AKBC and the KABC. The annual AKBC-KABC Joint Meeting is the premier Australia-Korea business event, with a proud 42-year history. This year’s event will be held on Thursday 28 October.
The AKBC-KABC Joint Meeting attracts a senior delegation from Korea, led by the Korea-Australia Business Council Chairman and CEO of POSCO, Mr Jeong Woo Choi. POSCO is an active investor in Australia, and has invested $5 billion to date, and is actively looking for new partnerships and joint ventures with Australian companies. The Australian delegation is led by the Hon Simon Crean.
This year’s 42nd AKBC-KABC Joint Meeting will be held virtually in Australia and in-person in Seoul, Korea. Given the recent increase in COVID-19 cases in Korea, a decision relating to the format of the Joint Meeting in Korea is expected to be made next week. The AKBC will also host invite-only dinners the night prior to the Joint Meeting, in select locations across Australia aligning with current COVID-19 restrictions.
Please note that the AKBC-KABC Joint Meeting is a member-only event.
