Yong-Hwan Kim, known as Eric, is based in MIRA’s Seoul office. He leads investment and asset management activities in Korea and Japan and joined Macquarie in 2002. He is the Chief Executive Officer of four private equity funds, Macquarie Korea Opportunities Fund (MKOF) series 1-4 and he is a member of Investment Committee for Macquarie Asia Infrastructure Fund (MAIF)1&2. He led a number of investments in Korea, Taiwan and Japan covering a variety of industry sectors including power, utilities, transportation, renewable energy, storage tank, waste to energy and infra tech.
Notably, Eric has led the acquisition and divestment of several infrastructure assets, including ADT Caps, SK E&S, Kangnam City Gas, West Sea Power and Taiwan Broadband Communications, as well as ongoing sourcing and screening of investment opportunities. Eric is also a director on several asset-level boards. Eric has an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and a Master in Finance from INSEAD.
