Lotte Chemical invests in hydrogen

LOTTE chemical Group, which is part of #Korea’s fifth-largest conglomerate, Lotte Group is investing $3.8 billion in #hydrogen projects by 2030, a move away from its mainstay petrochemicals.

Earlier this week, the group announced its growth roadmap – “The Green Promise 2030,” with hydrogen production at the centre.

The company said it will establish blue hydrogen facilities with an annual production capacity of 160,000 tons by 2025. It also plans to generate green hydrogen at overseas facilities and bring it to Korea for industrial use, with a target of 440,000 tons a year of green hydrogen by 2030.

최근 롯데케미칼은 수소생산 중심인 성장 로드맵인 The Green Promise 2030을 발표했습니다. 2025년까지 연간 16만톤의 생산능력을 갖춘 블루수소 시설을 구축하겠다고 밝혔으며, 해외 시설에서 그린수소를 생산해 국내에 산업용으로 들여올 계획이며 2030년까지 연간 그린수소 44만톤 생산을 목표로 하고 있다고 밝혔습니다.
