Site Visit

Welcome Dinner

10.30 am – 4.00 pm: NSW Site Visits

As a major sponsor of the AKBC-KABC 40th Joint Meeting, the New South Wales (NSW) Government will host a site visit program for all delegates on Tuesday, 12 November 2019.

This program will provide an opportunity for delegates to meet the most senior departmental representatives and receive the most up-to-date information on NSW projects that could further strengthen the Australia-Korea economic partnership, including key project details on the new Western Sydney Aerotropolis, Sydney Innovation and Technology Precinct (including the Australian Technology Park), Westmead Health and Education Precinct and the regional Special Activation Precincts.

In the afternoon, delegates will have an opportunity to visit the Australian Technology Park, where many of Australia’s key innovation leaders and facilities are based including Hyundai Home Shopping’s new Australian studios, Cicada Innovations and CSIRO’s Data 61.

The program will commence at 10.30am and conclude at 4.00pm, and will include lunch.

 

6.00 pm – 9.00 pm: Welcome Dinner at Museum of Contemporary Art Australia

The Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) distinguishes itself as a convenient innovative, and modern venue to host Welcome Dinner on the evening of Tuesday, 12th November 2019.

The venue is distinguished by its sleek, glass-walled rooftop Harbourside and Quayside rooms, allowing guests to take in spectacular views of the city skyline, Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge.

The Museum of Contemporary Art Australia is located on The Rocks district and Circular Quay and is 5 minute (by foot) from the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney.

7.30 am  – 9.00 am: Australian Delegation Breakfast, Four Seasons Hotel Sydney (Ground Level)

AKBC delegates are invited to attend the Australian Delegation Breakfast, with guest speaker Australian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea H.E. Mr James Choi. Mr Choi will provide an update on the Australia-Korea relationship and share his thoughts on areas of future economic cooperation and collaboration as well as the geopolitical landscape of North Asia and what this means for Australia.

 

9.30 am to 5.00 pm: 40th AKBC-KABC Joint Meeting

5.30 pm – 6.30 pm:  Closing Cocktail Reception Gallery rooms (Level 2), at the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney

Following the formalities, the Australian and Korean delegates are invited to network at the closing cocktail reception which will be held at the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney.
