‘Lest Korea Forget’ project commemorates the Korean War’s 70th anniversary

The Korean Cultural Centre AU and the Anzac Memorial have organised the special project ‘Lest Korea Forget’ to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Korean War. A Sydney light train and Melbourne tram have been decorated with the portraits of Australian veterans who served during the war, including medic Grace Bury and Rear Admiral Ian Crawford AO AM (Mil) RAN (Ret’d). Rear Admiral Crawford remarked “I am so touched that the Korean War has been recognised as part of Australia’s history” when discussing the project.

The light train and tram will run until July 26, 2020.
