24 Aug Entrepreneurs are helping Korea address the climate crisis
Korean entrepreneurs are key players in creating innovative change to help Korea address the climate crisis. With support from the Korean government, investors and more eco-conscious consumers, startups are focusing on developing environmentally friendly products and encouraging zero waste.

While recycling plastic is important, reducing overall plastic production and usage will help prevent future accumulation of plastic products. As such, startup Rewind is producing 100% biodegradable cafe products, which are made out of corn, straw and sugar cane. Given that Korean consumers use on average 500 plastic cups per year, the potential positive impact of biodegradable cups is enormous.
